Nepheliosyne B, a New Polyacetylenic Acid from the New Caledonian Marine Sponge Niphates sp
A new C47 polyoxygenated acetylenic acid, nepheliosyne B (2), along with the previously described nepheliosyne A (1), have been isolated from the New Caledonian marine sponge Niphates sp. Their structures have been elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses. These metabolites exhibited a moderate cytotoxicity against K562, U266, SKM1, and Kasumi cancer cell lines.
متن کاملA New Diketopiperazine from the Marine Sponge Callyspongia Species
Chemical investigation of the sponge Callyspongia sp. from the South China Sea afforded one new diketopiperazine, cyclo-(R-Pro-6-hydroxyl-S-Ile) (1), along with six known diketopiperazines: staphyloamide A (2), cyclo(S-Pro-S-Phe) (3), cyclo-(R-Pro-R-Phe) (4), cyclo-(S-Pro-R-Leu) (5), cyclo-(S-Pro-R-Ala) (6), cyclo(R-Tyr-R-Phe) (7), and three known tryptophan-derived alkaloids: C 2 -α-D-mannosyl...
متن کاملBiosurfactant production from marine bacteria associated with sponge Callyspongia diffusa
Marine-derived biosurfactants have gained significant attention due to their structural and functional diversity. Biosurfactant production was performed using bacteria associated with Callyspongia diffusa, a marine sponge inhabiting the southern coast of India. A total of 101 sponge-associated bacteria were isolated on different media, of which 29 isolates showed positive result for biosurfacta...
متن کاملNew α-Glucosidase Inhibitory Triterpenic Acid from Marine Macro Green Alga Codium dwarkense Boergs
The marine ecosystem has been a key resource for secondary metabolites with promising biological roles. In the current study, bioassay-guided phytochemical investigations were carried out to assess the presence of enzyme inhibitory chemical constituents from the methanolic extract of marine green alga-Codium dwarkense. The bioactive fractions were further subjected to chromatographic separation...
متن کاملStudy of L-Asparaginase Production by Streptomyces noursei MTCC 10469, Isolated from Marine Sponge Callyspongia diffusa
L-asparaginase is an anti-neoplastic agent used in the chemotherapy of lymphoblastic leukaemia. The present work deals with production of extra-cellular Lasparaginase from marine actinomycetes, using submerged fermentation. Marine actinomycete Streptomyces associated with marine spongeCallyspongia diffusa was isolated using specific ISP medium. Sponge-associated Streptomyces was character...
